The PADI Wreck Speciality Course is
designed to an introduction to wreck diving and to develop the skills
and knowledge necessary for safe wreck diving including:
- the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and
hazards of wreck diving
- the preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special
equipment, penetration lines and reels
- limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures
During this course you will also be given an introduction into the
historical value of wrecks, social and legal issues surrounding that
value, and described some of wreck diving's implications, including the
pro's and con's of removing artefacts from wrecks.
This certification mean's you are
qualified to:
- Plan, organise, make and log recreational dives on wrecks in
conditions generally comparable to or better than those you're
trained in.
- Make limited penetration dives into suitable wrecks, staying
within the natural light zone and not penetrating more than 40
linear metres/ 130 linear feet from the surface.
This certified can be used towards your Master Scuba Diver
